Dylan Roberts returns to the Wales of his birth a changed man after the violent death of his mate. Having turned his back on being a bounty hunter and sworn off love for life, all he wants now is revenge.

When he meets Aeron Lombardo, his new farmhand, Dylan resents the intense attraction that blossoms between them. But Aeron won’t stop pushing and soon things take a hot and sexy turn.

As passions rise, danger rears its ugly head. Now Dylan and Aeron must choose whether to separate or commit to one another totally. Will Dylan take the final step and claim his new mate?
“Turn around.” Dylan’s low voice echoed in the bathroom.
He did as instructed, skin goose bumping in the chill air. Thick fingers touched either side of his torso and gently pressed down into his lower back. “Does it hurt?”
He shook his head.
“Turn back around.”
He faced the front and watched as Dylan moved large hands over his torso, gentle but firm. He pressed a little more on the right hand side. “What about here? Hurt at all?”
“No.” He exhaled a shaky breath. No matter how much he told his dick not to take interest in the proceedings, he became more and more aroused at every touch.
Then Dylan did something so strange it snapped him out of his fog of desire. The man leaned in towards Aeron and sniffed him.
“Jesus.” Aeron took a step back, butting up against the sink behind him. “Did you just smell me?”
Carly: Welcome, Skye, and thanks for stopping by to answer a few questions! What can you tell us about yourself, your background, and Claimed by Desire?

Skye: Thanks for having me. :) I am a fairly newly published author in the romance genre, although I have been writing for years. I write paranormal and contemporary M/M, M/F, and M/M/F romance.Claimed by Desire is book two in the Wild Hunters series but can be read as a standalone.  For more information, a chance to win prizes and free reads, readers can sign up to my newsletter here.

Carly: Claimed by Desire is M/M paranormal romance. What inspires you to write this genre?

Skye: I love paranormal romance because you can break the rules. There’s magic and preternatural forces involved so characters don’t have to behave as they do in the real world. They can change form, fly, do magic, fall in love at first glance – or scent! And I like writing m/m because I think two heroes are always better than one!

Carly: How many days a week do you write?

Skye: It really depends. On a good week I write six or seven days. On a bad week I might not write for more than one day. I try to totally commit to writing at least two days a week no matter what, but life has kicked my behind recently in a variety of ways. So I’ve not been as productive as I normally am.

Carly: On average, how long does it take to write a book?

Skye: It totally varies. Dylan’s story took me about a good long while. That time includes giving myself a pause of about six weeks before I went back to re-read, edit, and re-write. Then of course I have to share with my critique partners and that can take a while. Then there are beta readers. Finally it goes to my publisher where it gets two to three rounds of edits and a final proofread.

In contrast I recently wrote a novella – 30k wolf shifter story – in about five weeks start to end. Although that will need thorough edits so you can add a month for those.

And again in another contrast, the book I am currently editing – a contemporary m/m romance – has taken me forever to write. I’ve been working on it well over a year now. It was a difficult subject matter and I really wanted to make sure I did the subject and the characters justice so…yeah, totally varies.

Carly: Do you have a trailer for your book?

Skye: No I don’t have one. I’d love to do a trailer at some point, but I am technically inept and so I haven’t managed it yet!

Carly: If you could be a character from any book you've read who would you be?

Skye: I would say Elizabeth Bennet because then I’d get Darcy. But then I think of the realities of life then. No antibiotics. No painkillers. No regular baths!! So yeah, maybe not. I think I’d quite like to be Beth, Wrath’s missus in the Black Dagger Brotherhood. Or Butch – and I’d chose Vishous (I still ship those two!).

Dylan is a wolf who has lost everything. Aaron is a human who is willing to do anything to keep from losing his mother, his everything. Thrown together by chance, sparks fly between the two but  the loss of his partner haunts Dylan and his fear of being hurt again keeps him from opening up to Aaron. When the monsters that killed Dylan's lover show up, the threat of losing Aaron forces Dylan to face his feelings and decide if he's strong enough to give himself a second chance.

I loved this action packed sequel to Claimed by Love. Rugged on the outside, soft on the inside, Dylan tugged at my heartstrings from the very beginning. I was thrilled to see him get a second chance at love. Aaron's giving personality is combined with a steely determination that makes him a formidable man in his own right.  The drama, suspense and romance in Claimed by Desire is complemented by the camaraderie and loyalty that the characters from Claimed by Love show for Dylan in his time of need. Technically, this could be read as a stand alone but I don't recommend it. Dylan first appears in book one, which builds the foundation for this story, and explains the relationship Dylan has with his friends and fellow soldiers who are featured in book one and play a major role in this book. Both books are exceptional, and I hope Skye releases a third installment soon!
