My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Emotionally engaging from beginning to end!

Robb was only 13 years old when he was attacked by a black ghost and turned into the monster modern men call vampire. He has adapted to the change, but never stopped searching for a cure. His heart was frozen years ago by the loss of his childhood love. Now he uses women for sexual gratification, and to obtain the blood he requires in order to survive, but refuses to allow himself to ever love again. Haunted by his past, he lives his life isolated and alone, refusing to become a blood thirsty demon like the one who forced immortality upon him. He is a rare breed; one who yearns for humanity.

Ever since her sister died of cancer Liz life has been consumed with searching for a cure. She dreams of finding a man with a kind heart and passionate soul can will understand her sorrow and support the studies that are her lifes work. Her heart quickens at the instant chemistry that sparks the moment she meets Robb, but his arrogance attitude and playboy reputation cause her to doubt her own feelings.

Each must confront their deepest fears and look beyond the superficial circumstances that are standing the the way in order to find true love. When a deranged vampire from his past arrives to collect a favour from Robb, and Liz uncovers a dangerous secret of her own, the road to finding happiness becomes even more difficult to travel.

A well written and story, Heartbitten is a captivating paranormal romance that offers adventure, drama, passion and heart. While the ending is not a cliffhanger, it will leave readers yearning for more!
